Inlays & Onlays Inlays and onlays are used in place of fillings when partial coverage of a tooth is desired. Rather than removing tooth structure from the entire tooth as in the case of a crown, only part of the tooth structure is removed.The onlay or inlay is fabricated in a laboratory out of gold or porcelain and cemented in place on the tooth during a second visit. |
